Hi Guys
I happen to run a Cryptozoology Blog called Frontiers of Zoology. Recently I started getting traffic from justforlaughstv.com also. I googled that and came up here. I still don't know what's up or what they're about or anything.

Anyway, good luck with your site.

While I'm here, I'm going to ask a question to show just how much in the dark I actually am. I am becoming dimly aware that "Cryptozoology" is some sort of a code reference for "Alternative lifestyle". I have no idea what it is supposed to mean in that context, I write about Yetis and Abominable Snowmen (Seriously!)

So is there anybody here that can take me aside and whisper in my ear what that's all about? I'm dying to know.

L, Cooking for mom is what I have. That and a cat, and a job at the factory. I guess that's The Plan, too, though I didn't plan on it.

A, Yes, I love that movie. And I agree about the readership on blogs. Over Christmas, I got about two hundred hits a day for weeks from people Googling "vintage Christmas cards." But I could see that they didn't stay. The thing to count is return visitors. That is your only "readership." The rest is dross.

Some random thoughts: I admire Dorothy Parker's work. Jennifer Jason Leigh interpreted her very well in Mrs. Parker & the Vicious Circle (and was great in The Anniversary Party as well).

I have my doubts about the concept of blog readership. My most obscure blog that averages 2 hits a day suddenly got 212 hits when I wrote about horoscopes. 90 of them were from a site called "justforlaughsgagsTV" whatever that indicates. Probably nothing good.

You could throw in a recipe or two now and again. (I'm a lousy cook and could benefit from this.) I have no interest in gangstas or teenagers aside from what light they might shed on jewelry trends.

I heckle at young girls walking into Bridal Shops. My mother asks "What has happened to you Lisa..."

The Plan is about Safety which is a Lie. However one gets called names like "cold, jaded, harsh, miserable" if one doesn't subscribe to the Plan especially if you are a woman. The Plan is the Key to Happiness you see. Ants on the Mobius Strip.

Hey for some peeps it probably works or it works for a time. And hell, I don't want to generalize here. I will soon read like Dorothy Parker.

Babies, kittens, puppies are joyous indeed. And so outside the Plan even though we try to jam them in. It's hard not to get caught up in that joy (at least for this reader).

I like to hear about your cooking for your Ma -- for what it's worth.

I've gotten used to living randomly in a random world...Stability can be boring! ;)
