If I Could

This is the first kinda/sorta commercial style image I've ever tried.  I had no idea what I was doing.  Red got some purses from an Italian company.  They wanted her to shoot with them.  She asked me to do some with her.  "Who is their target audience?" I asked.  I had no direction, just a box full of purses and a model and my cheap little studio with its half-assed lights and very small stage.  Just Red.  No MUA.  No stylist.  Red did everything, really.  I just set lights and gave her some directions and we shot.  I've seen commercial shoots.  They are like movie sets.  So WTF.  I'll just show you this.  It is part of the legacy.

I'm driving my mother over to the funeral tomorrow.  Memorial service, rather.  My mother doesn't feel well.  I feel a bit like dying myself.  Life needs a reason to live, I guess.  When you can't find that. . . .

Here's a song.

  1. I can see the photo on a billboard...maybe in NYC. Drive safe...we are all dying...its how you do it that counts.

  2. Even Sartre went out screaming and kicking. "What if I was wrong," de Beauvoir reported him saying as he made his deathbed conversion.
