The Moon of Worms
Jesus Marimba. . . if you haven't watched HBO's "Phil Spector," you are missing out. While the script is not so good as it might be, Al Pacino is. . . dyn-o-mite. As is Helen Mirren. And the song written by Spector that plays over the end credits is sumptuous.
The whiskey bottle went empty this weekend, and I have not refilled it. It is killing me. I've settled for wine and beer this week, and it is restorative. But tonight I realized that there was a modicum in my flask, and so I had two drinks from it. Oh my is it good. I have the Irish disease for sure. But that is gone now and I am back to the Chimay Cinq Cent which is fairly chewable.
Tonight is the full moon, The Full Worm Moon. What an idea. It will haunt me in my non-sleep tonight. Xanax. It should be given out freely. It should be in containers on the corner of every desk in any workplace. But it is not and I have none and I know that tonight will be a dreadful thing.
The night is young and I am not, and all I want. . . is everything I don't have. Sleep well, my little darlings. I am thinking. Something may come of it soon.

Fairly chewable he says...
ReplyDeleteThe Chimay cinq cents is a tripel beer.
And probably one of the best Belgian tripel beers, too.
Maybe just a tiny little bit too sweet? Can't remember exactly, it's been a while since I was In the beautiful village and abbey of Chimay for a weekend with a Dutch lover of mine, and tasted their whole collection of beers.
But as I remember they all tasted very good.
The blonde ones at least, I don't like the dark beers much, too sweet usually.
Wonderful photo, very cool!
Have a good day, you picky man!

ReplyDeletewhen i worked at the pharmacy (my first job and lasted 5 years i think from age 14 to 19) -- i once worked with a pharmacist who used to "spill" my favorite drugs while filling rxs. is this a repeat? have i said that before? i suppose they could never get away with that now -- all the counting of pills etc. i was present when they flushed the last quaaludes down the potty. i must have told you this. i'm getting old and repeating. sigh
i went through a series of pharmacists. i think i loved them all. i wasn't really a very bad girl. just experimental?
i made a connection with a fine person whose partner works for a major drug company and have been promised a good supply of ambien. which i need bad. i'm down to about 3 fairly restless hours a night at present.
it is on my list. the spector thing -- i was sort of afraid to watch it. now i know.
luv
N, You dated outside your culture? :) I drink Chimay quite often. It is very expensive here but it slows down your consumption a bit. What is this link?
ReplyDeleteL, I don't know if you've told this one before or not. It is the curse of aging, though, when we don't know if we've told the story before. I am beginning to have only old stories to tell. Selah.
no no. i blame it on all the pot.
ReplyDeleteSure! Remarkable for a bigot, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI had relations with a couple of Dutchman, a German, a couple of French guys, and a Spanish guy. And even with an Iranian once (bad idea for a hippie- child by the way...!)
I dated a Chinaman, a Kurd, and even an American once! And even much worse... it was a rich American!
I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple here...! Or forget, I just don't have time to sum them all up right now
The link, well, it helps if you open it and read it!
But it's about why bloggers shouldn't be too amazed if they get less comments when they start using the irritating word verification thing.
See you!
