Eliot's Whimper
I remember when I felt like something. But I have been sick for months off and on. Throw in a torn meniscus which makes anything but walking a pain. Now I am nothing, not half of the something I was before. I keep waiting to get better, to heal. I wait for some surge of energy to return. What I get is Eliot's whimper.
And my luck has run sour as well.
Today I get to take my mother shopping for a refrigerator. I get to look for a washer AND a dryer, both of which have chosen to crap out. It will be an exciting Saturday.
I have decided to sell the Jeep. I have to rebuild a deck. I will need a new roof this summer I am certain. We'll find out when the rains come.
But I want to travel.
I'll need money. I don't know whether to go to the Money Tree or the Money River to get it. Seems the drought has been bad for both.
