Victorian

I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked.  Still, I don't hurt as much as I might, either.  I can bend my back and stand upon my leg with the bad knee and move my arms about with relatively little shoulder pain.  There is an early fog but I will walk soon and far with no plans beyond making a vegetable soup for my dinner with mother.

And I must remember to become more Victorian.  I watched one of the Robert Downey Sherlock Holmes movies last night.  I think it represented the end of the 19th century well.  It is one of the most intriguing times in history.  I shall go back to the time period for inspiration.  As a modernist, I've spent my life refuting the Victorian ethos.  I may have fun reversing myself on that.  They were not one thing.  They may have been everything.

I shall look for some decoration, both architectural and personal.  No mustache, though, nor mutton chops (though it is the hipster thing to do).

Perhaps I will study animal magnetism as a useful force.  I would like to be able to pull that off, to put people into a trance-like state.  It is just science.

I will get started early now.  A walk, some breakfast, some marketing, and perhaps brunch.  Ah. . . Sunday.
