Picture of an Artist as an Old Man
My emotions are an S-curve. But the modality is shrinking. Is that the right word--"modality"?
Regardless (or "irregardless" as my father would say), my emotions are on a fast roller coaster ride. I went to work very late today and left very early. I don't know how much longer I can continue to function at the factory. Or anywhere, for that matter.
It is daunting to want to be in the lead all the time. You can't stay there forever. You wear down then out. Out front, I mean, like Willy Loman. When a man gets a spot on his tie. . . and they don't return your calls any more. . . .
Willy had the right idea according to his son, Happy--to be the #1 Man.
What breaks Biff is realizing that he's not.
I've never been much of one, though, for a shoeshine and a smile. Never been a salesman.

The way I see it, one can sell, or one can create. I know which I would rather do...

ReplyDeleteKudos. This, for me, is one of the best photographs you've put up. It has an incredible painterly look. I looked first without my glasses and was sort of wowed (even more painting-like) but yeah I put my glasses on and still. I think Very Good. I'd hang it.
I've just paged through a book of portraits called Beauty & Virtue and then watched (for the third time, Marina Abramovic HBO special - yes, I cried AGAIN when Ulay sat down). Perhaps I'm even more art-titled than my even normal tilt--
but Beauty & Virtue.
Thank you.
Yes, beautiful photo, wonderful light.
ReplyDeleteAnd a cool new couch.
And of course the beautiful model...
Come to think of it...
'De verboden vrucht' would probably be the ultimate Belgian beer for you!
A reddish beer, fresh and very fruity...
Oh, 'De verboden vrucht' means, the forbidden fruit.
See you!
XXX!
Oh, I forgot, ( that's what you get after a while with these Belgian beers...) I think you'll like the label of this beer:
