We exchanged emails for awhile. I told him that this was going to be the biggest thing in photography ever. I know. I wasn't the only one. But I was early and have proof. At the time, he was looking for help unpacking and scanning the negatives. He was doing it all by himself and was not doing a very good job. There was nothing I could do from where I was, and over the months we quit writing.
Here is a link to the trailer for the film (link). (I still hate this new Google blog that doesn't offer me the same creative control and doesn't let me embed links as the old, clunkier version did.)
I look at those photographs and think I've wasted my life. Jesus, they are good. I've been sitting around whining about models who don't show up. One cancelled on me last night twenty minutes before the shoot. My shoot for tomorrow has been cancelled, too. I need to forget about it and get out of the safety of my studio.
Still. . . I think what I've been doing there in all but secret has been pretty good, too.
