Durango Sucks

Durango is a tourist town.  Today when I pulled in, half of Main Street was blocked off for a classic car show.  Why are people interested in cars so ugly?

It's true, though.  The street was crowded with ugly people with attitude--UPWA. It is an official organization recognized by the National Chamber of Commerce and certified by the MMA.  They wear logo t-shirts tucked into their very tight jeans cinched up with a big leather belt, both men and women, no matter how big they are.

I made several videos for you today, one I narrated while walking up a very steep hill recommended by the pretty twelve year old waitress at the French restaurant (in name only) where I ate.  Unfortuneately though, I am not that good with my iPhone and somehow I lost it.  Too bad.  It was brilliant.

But I did manage to get one for you and I posted it here (link).  It will show you how beat the town is.  Good times in Durango.

But I am staying at the General Palmer Hotel, a historic place with a great lobby.  I will have something more for you tomorrow, perhaps, but now I am going to eat at a Tibetan restaurant.  Tomorrow. . . Mesa Verde.
