Peace Doves

There is picture proof (link).  Were I a religious person, I would certainly see this as an omen.  I am tempted to do so anyway.  For real.  What are the chances?  Surely there is video of this somewhere.  I, for one, am going to begin looking for the Mark of the Beast.

But perhaps I will have to wait until the "True Detective" series is over.  It got better in the third episode with Matthew McConaughey's character opining about the voodoo nature of humans and their need for fairy tales.  He says out loud all the things you've always thought about faith and religion.  Nobody has said it on television before.  Now we have to wait and see if he turns out to be a hero or a villain.  The series is only eight episodes, so there is not so long to wait.

Still, a crow and a seagull. . . . The last time anything like this happened was at the premiere showing of "The Exorcist" in Italy where lightning blew up the cross on top of the cathedral across the street from the theater during the movie.

Nope.  I don't think things look so good.  Perhaps my not having one of those 40things isn't going to matter.  These are End Times.

All we can hope for is something like the final scene in "King Kong."  After Kong has been slain and the crowd surrounds his fallen carcass, a policeman says to Carl Denham, the capitalist provacateur, "Well Denham, the airplanes got him," to which Denahm so famously replies, "Oh, no, it wasn't the airplanes.  It was beauty killed the beast."

Any volunteers?
